It is breast cancer awareness month. I am fairly certain that we have all been affected by this destructive disease. I lost one of my mentors and other “mom” to cancer a few years ago. She was a college professor and an advocate for living an active lifestyle. She ran marathons and taught aerobics. I took her aerobics class once and left half way because I couldn’t keep up. She inspired me to keep moving when life became difficult during my junior year of college. I decided to get involved with this cause because it means a lot to me.
I received an email from the Spartan Race that I really love. They are doing this great promotion to support the Edith Sanford Breast Foundation’s mission to help raise funds for more research. The goal of the Edith Sanford Breast Foundation is to help “unlock each woman’s genetic code, advance today’s prevention and treatment, and end breast cancer for future generations.”
Supporting this great mission is simple, all you do is purchase a “Burpees for Boobs” Tee-shirt. The Spartan Race will donate 100% of the funds to the Foundation. This is a limited time event. If you are interested please head over to the http://www.shop.spartan.com/boobs.html and help this great cause.
You can do more by fundraising with your Spartan team.
